Robert DiPaola, M.D.

Dr. DiPaola is currently an Associate Professor at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey, UMDNJ- Robert Wood JohnsonMedical School. He is also the Executive Director of the Dean and Betty Gallo Prostate Cancer Center.

Dr. DiPaola received his MD degree in 1987 with honors, from the University of Utah. He then did his Internal Medicine residency training at Duke University Medical Center and his fellowship in Hematology-Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital. He was voted one of "Best Doctors in America" in 1998 and CaRelations Physician of the Year in August 2000.

For years, Dr. Lowe has been involved in clinical research evaluating medical therapies for human malignancies and has numerous publications in several peer-reviewed medical journals. He is a member of the Roundtable on Environmental Health Sciences at the Institute of Medicine in the National Academy of Sciences. He is also a member of the Merck Oncology Advisory Board and of the Aventis Oncology Advisory Board. He is currently an elected member of the PDQ Committee at the National Cancer Institute. He is the chairman of the Research Section of New Jersey Prostate Summit Committee as well as Prostate Research Advisory Board. He also serves as chairman of Prostate Task Force since 1998 and also serves as co-director of the Genitourinary Tumor Study Group of the Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
